Apple introduces new power adapters for Mac, plus extension cable, travel kit

Today alongside the launch of the MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR, Apple has introduced four new accessories for Mac: two updated power adapters, a power extension cable, and a travel adapter kit.

New Apple power adapter accessories arrive for Mac

Apple’s touchscreen-equipped MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR is the big focus of today. But alongside its unveiling, Apple has also introduced several power adapter accessories.

Now available on the Apple Store are:

The 70W and 140W Power Adapters replace the previous models. The main thing that seems to have changed is that they’re compatible with AC Connector 2 accessories. These updated versions are now included with select MacBook Pro models.

Apple bringing back the World Travel Adapter Kit is welcome news. The old kit was discontinued after becoming incompatible with newer power adapters. The latest version includes five interchangeable AC plugs:

  • Type A: North America, Japan
  • Type C: Continental Europe, Brazil
  • Type D: India
  • Type G: United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Singapore
  • Type I: Australia, New Zealand

All of these accessories are available now and ship immediately.
