Facebook currently down for some users [U: Fixed]

Update, 6:39 p.m. ET: It looks like the issue has been resolved, as outage reports on X and Downdetector are now trending downward. The original post follows below.

As multiple users report that Facebook is currently down, Downdetector data suggests the outage may also be affecting other platforms owned by the company. Here are the details.

Company has yet to officially confirm the outage

Earlier today, an Oracle outage disrupted the newly launched US version of TikTok, and the issue remains unresolved.

Now, Meta appears to be facing a similar issue, with multiple users reporting that Facebook is currently down. In addition, Downdetector data shows that users are also having difficulty accessing Instagram and Facebook Messenger.

Unlike most companies, Meta doesn’t offer a status page for its end-user platforms. Instead, its Meta Status page lists only status and outages of the company’s business products and tools, some of which are also offline.

Like with the US TikTok service disruption, we will monitor the situation and update this post once the issue is resolved.
