Apple has officially announced WWDC 2026, confirming dates for its next Worldwide Developers Conference. The conference kicks off with a keynote on Monday, June 8, where we expect Apple to announce iOS 27, macOS 27, and much more.
The teaser art for this year’s conference shows a dark background with WWDC26 lit from the bottom. Another version uses the same lighting theme and Apple Park’s iconic ring.
The conference runs from June 8 through June 12.
Developers interested in attending the conference at Apple Park in California can apply to be selected here.
The deadline to apply for the random lottery is March 30. Apple says it will notify those selected to attend on April 2.

Apple is also hosting its annual Swift Student Challenge for developers.
“WWDC is one of the most exciting times for us at Apple because it’s a chance for our incredible global developer community to come together for an electrifying week that celebrates technology, innovation, and collaboration,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. “We can’t wait to see many of you online and in person for what is sure to be one of our best WWDC events yet.”
WWDC gives developers around the world the first look at new software technologies coming to iPhone, iPad, the Mac, and more.
This year, we expect to see iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, visionOS 27, and tvOS 27. Apple also sometimes previews new features coming to AirPods and HomePod at WWDC.
Last year, Apple replaced iOS 18 with iOS 26, skipping over iOS 19 to instead base the version name on the year ahead.
Despite revealing upcoming software updates in the middle of the year, Apple only officially releases the software in September.

This year, Apple is expected to focus on refining last year’s Liquid Glass redesign, releasing Siri and Apple Intelligence features that are powered by Google’s Gemini AI models, and improving overall platform stability.
Apple typically releases the first developer beta versions of the new operating systems following the conclusion of the keynote on day one of the conference.
Public beta versions of the OS updates come a month later in July after Apple has had more time to work on the pre-release software.
