If you rely on HomeKit Security Video and have been encountering performance issues, you’re not alone.

Apple confirmed yesterday at 6:49 p.m. ET that an ongoing HomeKit Secure Video issue has been affecting some users, causing the service to be “slow or unavailable.”

As a result, some users aren’t getting motion alerts from their HomeKit cameras, and recordings may not be saved.

On the HomeKit subreddit, some users report missing recordings and motion alerts, while others can still see live feeds despite not receiving alerts.

Apple has yet to acknowledge or comment on the situation, aside from signaling the issue on its status page.

We’ll update this post if Apple comments on the issue, or once it is resolved.
