Apple hasn’t caught up to MacBook Neo demand yet

It looks like Apple is selling MacBook Neo laptops faster than it can make them. Meanwhile, the Mac is breaking records because of it.

All MacBook Neo models from Apple ship in April

As of Friday, March 20, all eight MacBook Neo models are sold out online until next month. Several configurations are sold out in Apple Store locations until the middle of April as well.

MacBook Neo comes in four colors (silver, blush, citrus, and indigo) and two configurations (256GB or 512GB with Touch ID).

Every model shows delivery times between April 6 and April 13 when ordering from Apple’s website. That’s a two to three week gap for a product that was announced two weeks ago and came out a week ago. This is something more typical for iPhone launches than Mac launches.

Customers shopping in-person may have better luck.

Hope they're working to ramp up production before this summer's "back to school" season.

At my local Apple Store, the $599 256GB model is available in silver, blush, and citrus. Indigo isn’t available for pickup until April 14. For the $699 512GB model, silver and indigo are available for pickup today, but blush and citrus are pushed back to April 14.

Your mileage may vary depending on local inventory.

The MacBook Neo situation on Amazon is a little better, although delivery dates for each model is still almost a week out. Other models stretch into April as well. Walmart also sells the new MacBook Neo, with same-day delivery on some models and late March shipments on others.
