VSCO is expanding its AI Lab with five new AI-powered editing tools for photographers, bringing the total to eight. Here’s what’s new.
VSCO keeps expanding its AI Lab tools
Ever since VSCO announced AI Lab last year, the company has been steadily adding tools aimed at both amateur and professional photographers looking to streamline their editing process.
Last January, AI Lab got a prompt-based image editing interface, which added to the Upscale tool, which upscales images up to 4 times their original resolution, and the Remove tool, which lets users easily erase unwanted objects from photos.
Now, VSCO has added five new features to AI Lab, including:
- Dehaze: Restore contrast and color depth in flat, overcast, or misty outdoor images;
- Denoise: Automatically remove unwanted grain, dust, scratches, and high-ISO artifacts while protecting your photograph’s authentic texture;
- Hairstyle: Intelligently reshape and refine hair—improving shape, volume, and definition while preserving natural texture;
- Restore: Repair and enhance aging photos by brightening faded color, sharpening softened detail, and reducing visible damage like scratches and dust;
- Simplify: Reduce background crowds and visual clutter with one click. Simplify helps your subject stand out—especially in busy city, travel, or event shots.
