All signs point to Apple discontinuing its Cosmic Orange color option with this fall’s iPhone 18 lineup.
But Cosmic Orange has been such a hit, Apple has set itself a high bar for iPhone 18 Pro’s new colors.
Last week a Macworld report indicated the company is developing four options currently: Light Blue, Dark Cherry, Silver, and Dark Gray.
That ‘Dark Cherry’ color has been corroborated by other reporting that says a kind of ‘deep red’ is coming.
Today, Weibo leaker Instant Digital has offered more detail on what to expect from iPhone 18 Pro’s likely flagship color. Here’s the translated post:
For the iPhone 18 Pro, Apple has created a color that’s a mix of burgundy, coffee, and a slightly deep purple… I’m really curious to see how it will be ultimately named.
Colors are often one of the last details to get finalized, so Apple could certainly change its plans before September.
However, if these rumors prove true, expectations are that this red-ish color will be the focal point of Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro marketing.
And based on this new post, it sounds like it could be a color unlike anything we’ve seen before in an iPhone.
