MacBook Neo starts May with delivery dates stretching to month’s end

May has arrived, so let’s check in with MacBook Neo inventory for the new month. In April, Apple sold through its online inventory for the month after just 15 days. For May, Apple is starting out the month with MacBook Neo shipping estimates ranging from May 18 to May 26.

Apple doesn’t appear to be catching up with MacBook Neo demand anytime soon

The quickest way to buy a MacBook Neo from Apple continues to be lucking out with in-store stock. While delivery dates continue to push back daily, in-store pickup options change throughout the month.

Meanwhile, Amazon takes $10 off the $599 price and has some models, including some citrus, indigo, and blush models, arriving as soon as May 3. Other models are promised for around the middle of the month.

Walmart looks like the best place to find silver MacBook Neo inventory with overnight delivery options.

Apple unveiled MacBook Neo on March 4, opening pre-orders shortly after the announcement. MacBook Neo arrived in stores one week later on March 11.

Launch inventory quickly sold out, and Apple hasn’t caught up with demand since. MacBook Neo comes in four colors (silver, blush, citrus, and indigo) and two configurations (256GB or 512GB with Touch ID).

Apple CEO Tim Cook said the Mac “had its best launch week ever for first-time Mac customers” after the MacBook Neo arrived. Cook said customer response to the Neo has “just been off the charts” during yesterday’s earnings call.

9to5Mac’s Chance Miller called the MacBook Neo “a truly great Mac at an unbelievable price” in our official review.
