Apple unveils iPadOS 27 with new Siri, productivity upgrades, more

Today during its WWDC keynote, Apple unveiled iPadOS 27, the next major software update for iPad. Here are the new features coming in iPadOS 27.

iPadOS 27 includes Liquid Glass refinements, performance improvements, Siri, and more

Last year, Apple shipped the iPad’s biggest productivity update ever in iPadOS 26. Its followup this year adds to those, but focuses on overall performance improvements too.

Here’s what’s new in iPadOS 27:

  • The Menu Bar can now be optionally kept always on screen
  • iPhone apps can be resized in iPadOS
  • Liquid Glass has been refined and is more customizable than ever
  • Performance improvements make iPadOS 27 perform much quicker
  • Screen Time has been revamped for managing your child’s device use
  • Brand new Siri with dedicated Siri app
  • Overhauled search experience with upgraded intelligence
  • Active app name now displays in status bar
  • Photos improvements like slideshow customization, Shared Albums across Android and Windows, upgraded Clean Up, more
  • Safari can organize tabs into topics
  • and more per Apple’s website

iPadOS 27 will be available in developer beta later today, with the first public beta coming in July. Apple will ship the new software to all iPad users this fall.
