iOS 27 revamps AirPods settings in a big way, here’s the new design

iOS 27 was introduced today at WWDC, and the first developer beta is now available, revealing an overhaul to AirPods settings inside the Settings app. Here’s what it looks like.

AirPods settings now much better organized, easier to navigate in iOS 27

There may not be a dedicated AirPods app (yet), but iOS 27 does make navigating the settings for your AirPods easier than ever.

In iOS 27 beta 1, AirPods settings still live at the top of the iPhone’s Settings app. Like before, they only appear when your AirPods are actively connected.

But with the many new AirPods features Apple has added over the years, the settings screen had gotten lengthy and hard to parse.

That’s why in iOS 27, Apple has revamped AirPods settings with proper organization and new menus.

Here’s what it looks like now.

The previous mess of loosely organized toggles has been condensed into a more user-friendly set of menus.

Icons accompany each menu, making the options easier to identify at a glance.

And thanks to this overhaul, the main AirPods settings screen is nowhere near as long as it used to be.

I’m still hoping for a dedicated AirPods app eventually, but this is a great improvement over what iOS 26 offered.
