We’ve been maintaining a running list of the best new iPad Air cases ahead of its upcoming Nov. 1st launch date, and today Logitech announced four new products for the device with a new line of Ultrathin cases, covers and keyboard folios.
Available starting next month, the company will be offering The Logitech® FabricSkin Keyboard Folio, Logitech® Ultrathin Keyboard Cover, Logitech® Ultrathin Keyboard Folio and Logitech® Folio Protective Case all for Apple’s new iPad Air. Most of the products are similar to Logitech cases already available for previous generation iPads:
The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio ($99) features a built-in Bluetooth keyboard, protection on both sides, stand with multiple viewing positions, Logitech’s SecureLock, and up to three months of battery life (charges over USB). It comes in at Dimensions (L x W x H): 255.5 mm x 185.1 mm x 20.15 mm and weighs 425g.
The aluminum Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover ($99) allows you to dock your iPad and use it as a stand when using the keyboard and also magnetically attaches to protect the screen when not in use. Only one-sided protection with this option, but you’ll get instant sleep/wake wake and it comes in at just 330g and 240 mm x 169.5 mm x 7.3 mm.
The Logitech Folio Protective Case ($49.99) is much like the Ultrathin Keyboard Folio above only doesn’t include a keyboard and also includes an adjustable stand that can hold your iPad Air at almost any angle. Logitech also notes that this case is made from water-repellent materials. it weighs 261g and measures 255 mm x 196 mm x 14 mm.
Lastly, the Logitech FabricSkin Keyboard Folio is priciest of Logitech’s new offering for the iPad Air coming in at $149. It features a Bluetooth keyboard with full-size keys that, like Logitech’s other fabricskin products, is water-repellant and easily wiped clean. The case props up the iPad Air at two different angles, offers two-sided protection, up to 3 months battery life, and includes micro-USB for charging. The FabricSkin weighs 425g and measures : 255.5 mm x 185 mm x 18.5 mm.

No backlight?
The Ultrathin Keyboard Cover has been great in these one and a half year of use with my iPad 3 and 4, but the biggest problem is that it can’t be used with any cases. However, the new leather Smart Case for iPad Air from Apple is so attractive that I don’t know how to choose between them this time.
Ok, this device was announced recently. The MFI controller support… a long time ago. Announce the MFI game controller soon please.
This looks really nice. Doesn’t bother me that Apple didnt do something similar because no doubt it would have been more expensive.
