Beatles iTunes sales: 2 Million songs, 450,000 albums

Billboard reports that Apple has informed them that 2 million individual Beatles songs have been sold since their recent iTunes launch. Additionally, 450,000 whole albums were downloaded by customers on iTunes. Here Comes the Sun, which has been the top ranking Beatles song on iTunes as long as we can remember, is the most sold individual track and Abbey Road is the best selling album.

Surely Apple’s full-blown hype and advertising campaign for The Beatles on iTunes is helping out and from the looks of things, The Beatles numbers are still rising with more and more tracks reaching the top 200 iTunes rankings.
