Apple today shared the official trailer for the highly-anticipated second season of its hit drama series ‘Severance’, ahead of its premiere on January 17 on Apple TV+.
Based on the short snippets of scenes we are privy to, it appears the second season will pick up right after the climatic events of the season one finale. If you can’t remember what happened in season one, given that it aired over 1000 days ago, now is the time to catch up …
A combination of industry strikes, reshoots and executive producer in-fighting led to the three year wait between seasons. In the intervening time, the show has received much acclaim from critics and audiences alike, with the season one finale holding one of the highest ratings of a single episode on IMDB.
Severance season two will roll out weekly, with the first episode on Friday, January 17. New episodes roll out every Friday thereafter. Whereas season one comprised nine episodes, season two will have ten with the season finale airing on March 21. The show is expected to be renewed for a third season, although that is not yet officially confirmed.
