Spike Jonze AirPods 4 short film now online, starring Pedro Pascal

Apple yesterday teased a new Spike Jonze short film starring Pedro Pascal, as a creative way to show off the benefits of the Active Noise Cancellation feature on AirPods 4.

The film – just over five-and-a-half minutes long and titled Someday – is now available …

Spike Jonze is the professional name of renowned filmmaker Adam Spiegel, who first became known for BMX and skateboarding photography and films.

His feature film directing career includes Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Where the Wild Things Are, and Her. The latter saw him pick up an Oscar, Golden Globe, and Writers Guild of America Award for best original screenplay.

As we noted yesterday, this isn’t the first time Jonze has worked with Apple.

In 2018, the filmmaker directed a short film promoting the HomePod. Starring dancer FKA Twigs, the ad entitled “Welcome Home” won in the Advertising Excellence/Single Commercial category at the AICP Awards.
