Steve Jobs on killing Xserves: 'Hardly anyone was buying them'
According to French Website MacGeneration, Steve Jobs replied to a reader sympathetic to the plight of the XServes with the short explanation that they simply weren’t selling.
In comparison to Apple’s major product lines which are flying off the shelves, just about anything else wouldn’t sell as well. It is a shame (but also a reality) that Apple chose to focus on its more profitable businesses.
