Nomad teams up with Horween Leather on new Bi-fold & Slim Wallet w/ 2400mAh battery + Lightning cable

Nomad already makes some of the most versatile and practical accessories for Apple hardware, and now the California company is teaming up with Chicago’s Horween Leather Company to offer some high quality and stylish gear. The two companies are starting with new versions of Wallet, Nomad’s ordinary billfold that cleverly tucks a 2400mAh rechargeable battery and Lightning cable within, now available in two sizes and wrapped in Horween leather.

Horween Leather is used in fashion as well as basketballs, footballs, and baseball gloves used in the NBA, NFL, and MLB so the name brings another level of quality to Nomad’s already excellent merchandise.

In addition to now being made from hand stitched Horween Leather, Nomad’s Wallet now comes in two sizes, each at their own price point. Bi-fold Wallet is a traditional billfold with room for at least six cards plus cash and the stowed 2400mAh battery and Lightning cable. Order starting today for $150 from Nomad.com.

If you’re looking for something more minimal or just happen to carry fewer cards, Nomad has managed to include the same 2400mAh battery and integrated Lightning cable in Wallet Slim, a $119 version available starting today on Nomad.com.

Both versions of Wallet can fully recharge a drained iPhone 5/5c/5s/SE, and nearly recharge iPhone 6/6s while still being able to add some extra usage time to the bigger iPhone 6/6s Plus. Nomad also notes that the Horween Leather is “unsealed and will absorb the oils of everyday use as well as the bumps that life throws it way, giving it a beautiful patina over time.”

I’ve been using the larger of the two wallets for the last week or so and found that actually having the battery with me and using Low Power Mode has been really useful. Check out Nomad.com to see the latest Nomad Wallets with Horween Leather.
