How to keep AirPods in your ears during physical activity with this $10 accessory

I’ve used my EarPods for about 50% of my earphone use over the last few years and the Motorola S11 wireless headphones the rest of the time. Apple’s EarPods stay in my ears fine for general use during sedentary activities, but fall out every few minutes during exercise or mowing the lawn. When my Motorola S11’s battery died in October and I was in limbo waiting for the new AirPods, I temporarily used my EarPods for everything.

I quickly came across Earhoox, a simple silicone wing tip add-on. I’ve had a fantastic experience the first generation model (4.2/5 stars on Amazon). They stay perfectly snug in my ears (even when I’m upside down) and provide improved sound quality. Now their newly released Earhoox 2.o are designed for AirPods as well as EarPods.

As of this writing Amazon has stock of Earhoox 2.0 in blue, white, and black, but at a bit higher price point of about $18. You can find Earhoox for $9.99 (two pairs per package) plus shipping directly from Earhoox (orders of 2 or more ship free).

EarBuddyz are another solid alternative that I’ve also been using for the same $9.99 price which includes two pairs. They are usually in stock and have 4.3/5 stars Amazon so you can take advantage of free Prime shipping.

The only downside I can think of for a product like this is that I’ll probably need to remove these each time for charging, but I’ll take that trade-off to keep my expensive AirPods from falling out of my ears.
