I don't get why this would be a good deal for anyone.

Just get yourself an X86 clone and OSX86 and you're done for about $350 (or less). Why pay twice that when the vendor is merely selling you the same exact thing?

where do you get the drivers from for your X86-clone? That's what Psystar provides: a system that has drivers for all of its parts (most of the parts are supported by Mac OS out of the box, but e.g. the motherboard is quite tricky).

Where does one get the drivers? Why, from the so-called "OSX86Project" site, of course.

As far as I can tell, Psystar only provides hardware that is well-supported through that project.... and that project's Mac drivers are easily downloadable and installable - for free.

And even if Psystar did manage to create their own custom drivers from scratch, would a few drivers be worth a $500+ markup???

So idk about most of you, but i would totally pay $300 for the superior organization & looks of the the iMac than the crappier clone. I'm sorry, but I'm not paying 2 Gs to have a big black PC box sitting on the floor next to my desk inhaling dust all the time (because there's no way I'm putting that fugly thing on TOP of my desk). For that, I just but buy a laptop, and get that all on my desk with fewer wires and less space.
