Apple opens ExpressLane online tech support

Apple has introduced a new Express Lane service to its customer support system, an online engine that should help customers find the support they need.

The service — which is free for Apple equipment that’s still within the warranty — also helps users contact online tech support. The system is arranged in a grid, in which you select the machine you want help with, running through a list of options until you find what you need.

You can search by Apple product, search your own products (that you’ve registered) or look up cases that you’ve submitted previously.

A serial number is required for verification of coverage of Apple warranty, otherwise you may be charged.
