MobileMe set for 'scheduled maintenance' overnight

Apple will engage in what it is calling ‘scheduled maintenance’ of its MobileMe service beginning at 10pm tonight (PT). The maintenance will affect users attempting to access their accounts, and will also impact against those trying to sync data between devices.

“Due to scheduled maintenance, some MobileMe members may be unable to sync between their computers, iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch or view their contacts and calendars at me.com. Normal service is expected to be restored at the end of the maintenance window. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

Duration of the outages:
MobileMe Account Maintenance – 12/14/2010 22:00-23:00 PT
MobileMe Sync Maintenance – 12/14/2010 22:00 PT – 12/15/2010 00:00 PT

Don’t forget, for the best deal on MobileMe subscriptions do visit Amazon where they cost a fraction of the price — the MobileMe Family Pack now costs $72.99 there, for example.
