White iPhone 4 still showing in repair statuses on Apple.com (UPDATED: White Verizon iPhone icon spotted in iTunes)

We’ve seen a lot of parts allegedly pertaining to the mythical white iPhone 4 leaked by third-party service technicians and parts makers, but never from Apple. According to our reader Aaron who sent this in, he was greeted with the white iPhone 4 graphics when checking the status of his DIY repair request on Apple’s support website. He writes:

I have sent off for a replacement part and the white iPhone is shown at the top of the screen.

Hold your horses, it’s probably not a hint of what’s to come, just an outdated graphics Apple forgot to take down when they were removing all occurrences of white iPhone 4 images from their website a few months ago. Last we heard about white iPhone was a hint of it coming in Spring 2011.

UPDATE [March 16, 2011 10:45am Eastern]:
MacRumors spotted some white Verizon iPhone graphics in iTunes 10.2 resource files. Presumably, this icon is meant to be displayed on the device summary screen. The site noted the graphics clearly depicts a white CDMA iPhone 4 with its distinct antenna break on the top right side of the stainless steel band. It doesn’t prove anything beyond the fact that Apple at some point was pondering about releasing white CDMA iPhone.
