128gb Space Grey iPhone 6 Plus.

Didn’t really want 128gb, 64 would have done me just fine but in the madness I ended up just going with whatever size the store would actually let me add to my cart.

  2. taoprophet420 - 10 years ago

Looks like Apple better be churning out a lot of 64 GB models. Every year the highest capacity model seems to be the last to sell out.

  3. interesting this, some surprises to me here.

    i bought the 128gb space grey 6+

  4. darrellriddle - 10 years ago

The ATT site was kind of wonky… so we’ll see if I really got what I think I got. ;-)

    • latinoboyboy - 10 years ago

Exactly! It was madness! After finally being able to place my order, the page would just reload to the top. I tried multiple times and got frustrated so I went to sleep. When I woke up and tried to order it (hoping to at least get my phone before Christmas), it said I couldn’t upgrade at the time. When I checked my email, I got a confirmation for my order and shipping info. I was so relieved!

  5. Mike Zriel - 10 years ago

Bought 2, one for my wife and one for me for our anniversary! both iPhone6 ( Black/White ) 64GB http://www.zriel.com

  6. Got the 64GB Gold iPhone 6

    128GB Silver iPhone 6

  8. charilaosmulder - 10 years ago

If even on this site iPhone 6 is the preferred phone, just imagine how much of a winner the 6 is over the 6+.

  9. 89p13 - 10 years ago

    6Plus – Space Grey – 128 GB.

Like the man says – “You Can Never Has Too Much”

But the order process was the worst I’ve ever seen it. I ended up ordering (2) on the AT&T site – and I did finally get through on the Apple iPad Store app – where I ordered a duplicate. Lets see how AT&T deals with that one.

AT&T Says shipping is with 21 to 28 days / Apple e-mail simply states that my order is in line – but there is no additional info at this time.

One of those 6Plus / 128GB / Space Grey phones will get cancelled – and it’ll be the one with the longest lead time.

    • iphonery - 10 years ago

I have a similar situation. I ordered a gold 6+ 64GB first through Apple, but was only able to get a reservation. After, I tried AT&T and was able to place an order with a confirmation email with a 21-28 day delivery estimate. Tried Apple again and was able to place an order with a confirmation email with a 7-10 day delivery estimate. Going to cancel AT&T’s order later today!

    • Jeff Davis - 10 years ago

Same thing here. Ordered 1 on AT&T with 14 days shipping. Then went to apple store and somehow found a iphone 6+ that would deliver on the 19th. Ordered there and AT&T ended up canceling my order.

  10. xprmntr - 10 years ago

Black 6 sprint 128 launch day delivery w apple store app !¡!¡!¡!

  11. jabombardier - 10 years ago

Their should have been an option on the poll that says “when widely available” because that’s when I plan to get it.

  12. Howie Isaacks - 10 years ago

I got the 16GB model. I’m really good about managing my content, and offloading onto my Mac. I wish there was a better selection of cases. Most just look like crap. They’re not worthy of such a beautifully engineered device.

  13. Kathie Rebman - 10 years ago

None, it just got bigger and not much more, but still 8mp camera ??? COME ON Apple catch up to your competition!!!!!!!!! I won’t waste my money!

    • Mike Wëwerka - 10 years ago

Ahh, the old “it doesn’t have all the MP’s like the rest.”

Apparently nobody has taken the time to explain he difference between the importance of a “sensor” over “megapixels.”

First the only thing Megapixels does, is allow you to view the image at a larger size, when viewed at 100%. The more megapixels, the larger you can “print” your image. It does NOT mean a clearer, better picture. That’s what a better sensor does. A sensor is what reads the light and data that you point at. So the larger your sensor and aperture are, the better the image.

So while the iPhone may have stayed at 8MP, Apple revamped the whole sensor and made it better at reading light and focusing faster. They also added image stabilization on the Plus and used a digital version on the 6.

So, an 8MP camera is just fine and will still outperform competitors.

      • dksmidtx - 10 years ago

Not quite – check out the various dpreview.com studies of all of the different cameras – megapixels have a definite impact on blowing up and cropping (for closeups) – thus effectively adding high quality digital zoom. In comparisons of the iPhone 5s and Lumia 1020, “average” picture quality is about the same, but when you want to see the detail in the picture, all those extra pixels shine through.

      • OMG Mike, i dont understand why people don’t do a little research and figure out that MegaPixels are for large printing and large view and what matters in a image quality is the sensitivity the sensor, the quality, the glass used in the lens.

      • joelwrose (@joelwrose) - 10 years ago

The last thing I want is every single photo I capture taking up more space on my iPhone. I take a lot of photos and I fill up my phone fast enough at 8mp.

    • Do you print your pictures or even do big prints? if no, then you don’t need more then 5mp. when will people learn that Mega Pixels don’t mean you get better pictures.what gives you better pictures is better sensor, better pixels, larger pixels, better glass on the camera.

    • Jimmy Song - 10 years ago

As someone who has been in a photography MFA program and owns a Canon 5D Mark III as well as several other cameras, I can say that megapixels are generally overrated. There are two problems with pairing high resolutions will small sensors and small lenses.

      1. The lens needs to resolve enough detail to properly utilize all those megapixels. There’s a reason people spend thousands of dollars for a single camera lens. When the resolving power of a lens falls short of the resolution of a sensor, all those extra pixels are wasted. Plus, images take up more disk space to store more blurry pixels.

      2. Smaller pixels generally equals worse noise/low-light performance, have worse dynamic range, etc. In general, you’ll get better results with fewer high-quality pixels than a huge number of crappy pixels.

With this in mind, I’d take an 8 megapixel shot from a 10 year old Canon EOS 20D over a 30 megapixel shot from a modern day phone camera any day of the week. The reason? Better sensor and better lens. Same applies to the iPhone camera to a lesser degree. For what it is, it has a great sensor and lens and in my opinion produces better images than most of its higher megapixel competitors.

    • Howie Isaacks - 10 years ago

If you REALLY understand digital photography, you’ll realize that the megapixels are only part of what makes a photo look great. I’ve had 4 megapixel photos that look better than 12 megapixel. I’m sure Apple won’t even notice losing your business.

  14. Gregory Wright - 10 years ago

I would like those of you who posted previously the 6+ was a figment of our imagination to come forward and admit you were wrong.

    • Christopher Armenia - 10 years ago

I was one of them before the 5.5″ parts started leaking. For the record, I still think it looks ridiculous, but to each his own lol. I ordered a 4.7″.

  15. terryzxz - 10 years ago

Space Grey 6+ and 128 gig

  16. Laura (@MidniteMedicine) - 10 years ago

I got the iPhone 6 16GB Space Gray

First I managed to get a reservation number through the Apple Store app after an hour and a half. But then around 6:30am EST I was able to get right onto the Apple Store website and order my iPhone 6 quickly with the delivery date still showing as Sept 19th.

  17. patstar5 - 10 years ago

I am never paying $850 for a phone. I will not pay $650 either. New moto x us $500 off Contract and can be charged in 20 minutes. Att lg g 3 is $530 from Amazon and has more ppi than iPhone 6+ and laser auto focus. So I will never buy IPhones or IPads until prices are lowered. Now Mac is a different story. Going to be going to college and still deciding if I should get a MacBook or a surface pro 3/other windows convertible (Acer r14 looks nice).

  18. I ordered the iPhone 6+, 16GB, Gold (Seems like I am a minority here). While that wont get here until Oct., the iPhone 6 my mother ordered will be here on release day. With that said, I find it surprising that more people bought the 6 than the 6+ because of the fact that that the 6 is perfectly in stock.

    • i think its that people don’t really want a huge screen, most (my self) have an iPad. the only reason apple made 6+ is for the people that bitched an cried that iPhone’s where to small(not me) but 4.7 is still ok not to big, anything more is to big for me.

    • The 6+ is basically a galaxy Note, i’m not sure if you have every played with out but the Note is a massive device and is very hard to use with one had (I’m sure even with reachability). I couldn’t bring myself to have something that big as my daily driver.

The 6 is about the size of the Galaxy S4 and S3 (a little shorter width and depth wise), that I can use mostly one handed.

That’s what it basically came down to for me.

  19. Jason Yap - 10 years ago

Ordered 2 64gb 6 plus gold and silver for the wife and I and I got an email expecting 21-28 business days until shipping. WTF?!?!

  20. Isabella Kok - 10 years ago

Wow.. 128 is a lot, what do people do with so many storage? I can’t even fill up my 32 :p

  21. PMZanetti - 10 years ago

iPhone 6 Plus Space Grey 128 GB.

    Shipping Oct. 1st.

Apparently there were no release date models available….by the time the store came up and allowed adding to cart, shipping estimates had slipped to 7-10 business days. That was around 3:45 AM EST.

    • I’m not sure they had any 6+ that were going to ship/deliver on the 19th. Even when the Apple Store App was semi working around 1:20 EDT it was showing 21-28 business days (maybe they did but i’m speculating).

Oct 1st isn’t too bad though only 2 weeks later.

      • Pretty Shiny Sparkly - 10 years ago

My iPhone 6 Plus 128gb Gold is delivering on the 19th! *happy dance*

  22. 128G iPhone 6 plus space grey.

16 GB Space Gray iPhone 6. Also pre-ordered a nice leather Kavaj case.

  24. James (@rubmygreypatch) - 10 years ago

Question for anyone who knows… Of course, wasn’t able to buy the T-Mobile unlocked versions via the app this morning. Didn’t want to miss out on in-store pickup and get stuck waiting so I “pre ordered” two lines off of my AT&T account (aka said I was going to upgrade those two lines). I don’t want to do an upgrade based off AT&T’s bogus pricing and would much rather buy outright.

I got an email saying my reservation was confirmed and that they would email when they get in touch with my carrier’s server. My question is – for the AT&T models I reserved, can they just be switched to the T-Mobile unlocked versions? I think Apple should seeing as it wasn’t an option via app and I had no other choice (well I could have waited but you get my point….). Not sure if the AT&T phones are specifically locked to AT&T…

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

    • Schwin Schwin - 10 years ago

if you pre-ordered via Next, like i did( i actually got 4 phones, 2 ATT Next models, via ATT.com, and 2 Tmobile Models, via apple.com, because I was able to buy those at retail and i’ve heard they’re unlocked)

My understanding is this— the T-Mobile ones are unlocked so it shouldn’t be an issue to put my AT&T sims in there.

If this is not the case, I can “return” my AT&T Next phones and just purchase those outright

  25. klepp0906 - 10 years ago

Ordered at 7 am and already 4 weeks for delivery. Very cool apple. Been making these en masse for a decade now and you still can’t make enough to handle even 4 hours worth of demand?!

I’ll never pre order again. Excited over nothing. Atleast their will be a chance at a jailbreak before I even see the damn thing.

  26. Just 15% for Gold as of this post, eh? That surprises me…

    • heyitsmichelleo - 10 years ago

I would assume the overwhelming majority of users on this site are men. I would also assume the overwhelming majority of people who buy the gold iPhone are women.

      • Pretty Shiny Sparkly - 10 years ago

Yeah I bought the 128gb gold plus….and I’m a woman. :) But i have been stalking these apple review sites nonetheless! Total techie over here! :-)

  27. Andy Grant - 10 years ago

I was online waiting at 11:30p PDT, successfully logged in @ 12:03a PDT and completed my order @ 12:06a PDT. My 128Gb Space Grey 6 Plus is still scheduled for 10/7-10/14. FIVE MINUTES after it went live.

Now, I spoke with a AT&T manager this AM and he said they had a bridged call with Apple this morning, and Apple is going to try to meet the preorders by launch day, but no guarantees.

BTW, looking right now shows the same model as 35-42 days.

  28. modernwayfaring - 10 years ago

16gb 4.7″. I was almost tempted to go with 64gb by how much people are gobbling up space but I have 5gb+ free space on iPhone 5… so managing content doesn’t seem to be an issue for me.

    • jonp1002014 - 10 years ago

I could’ve written this comment myself. I’m in exactly the same boat. Hopefully we made the right decision!

  29. JT Ray (@TheRealJTRay) - 10 years ago

Space Gray 128gb iPhone 6, black leather case and AppleCare+ $993 on T-Mobile. Finally got my order in at 4:15am MST. I was up basically that whole time. Never again.

  30. Jake Brennan - 10 years ago

In case any of you are interested in tracking the ship times for US and Canada, here’s the full list:

    http://iphone-inventory.blogspot.ca/2014/09/iphone-6-pre-order-tracker.html

It’s interesting to see which models are selling out first.

  31. Richard S. (@Racerx8579) - 10 years ago

I wanted the 6+ the apple site wouldn’t let me add to cart, tried the att site they wouldn’t let me add to cart. I ended up just getting the 6 64gb.

  32. Brent Howatt - 10 years ago

You forgot the button for “Waiting for the unlocked version.”

  33. I was going to get the 6 + but when I read the dimensions it was almost identical width and height of the galaxy note 3 which I have for Android development and that is just way too big. To each his own but I couldn’t bring myself to buy one that size as a daily driver.

I will pick up a referb 6+ for development when Apple start selling them (usually 4 to 6 months).

  34. I got the 64 GB Spacegrey iPhone 6.

  35. Uriah Bojorquez - 10 years ago

Picked up the 16GB iPhone 3g Space Gray… oh wait, I mean, 6 Plus. I really should’ve pulled the trigger on the 64GB version, but… meh, I’ll just have to do a bit more of storage management.

With iTunes Match, Spotify, and being able to push my photos and videos to my Synology, I shouldn’t really run into any major issues.

Was lucky enough to get one for launch day delivery. It’s going to be a loooooong week.

  36. Wait you can’t just buy an unlocked iPhone in America?

I’m in the UK. I just bought my 6+ 64GB for £699. I just put my sim card in. Which is a rolling contract with EE (4g LTE) I get 8GB of data and unlimited calls and texts to other mobiles. That costs me £18 a month, If I wish to cancel I just do so whenever and wherever I want. And walk into any other carrier shop who will jump and give me a sim which I just stick in my phone and away I go again with a rolling contract with that company instead. In fact having an unlocked phone helps me because I can haggle with them and pit them against each other to get me the best deals possible. They force you into a contract when you buy an iPhone in America? That properly sucks.

    • zeromeus - 10 years ago

You CAN buy an unlocked phone in America. The retail prices are $649, $749, and $849 for 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB iPhone 6, $749, $849, and $949 for the 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB iPhone 6 Plus. In your case, it’d cost £522 plus tax (or your VAT) for the 6+ 64GB.

    • Uriah Bojorquez - 10 years ago

Congratulations, you just paid $1138.50 USD for that. It ends up being the same per month. You pay significantly less for your service, but since you paid such a high price for the phone it works out to the same price annually.

  37. zeromeus - 10 years ago

    I ordered a 128GB Silver iPhone 6 Plus.

Since the iPhone 6 Plus has full HD, that’s what I want so I can watch movies on my phone without the phone having to scale back the resolution from full HD quality movies.

The iPhone 6 Plus also has a great camera with OIS, which means I’ll be using it to take more photos than ever before. I will need storage capacity for that as well.

I play games, read the news, perform productivity tasks, etc, so I want a bigger screen.

Some people complain about the megapixel on the phone. It’s quite sad, really, when people measure the merit of a product by its numbers, even when the numbers don’t matter after a certain point. I have cameras that take pictures at 16MP but I always adjust it down to about 5 MP. This in turn gives me better pictures when I print normal sized photos and saves space on my camera. According to B&H Photo Video’s website, an 8MP photo is good for 16″ x 20″ print at photo quality. I normally print 4×6 photos at home, so I’d only need a 1MP photo for that. To print at 8×10, which is the normal size for letter sized paper, I’d only need 4MP. So for my need, 8MP is still overkilled. For my wedding, I’d like to have a photo that’s about 22″ x 28″ or even 24″ x 36″ or every crazier at 27″ x 40″, I would use a DSLR, not an iPhone. So… the megapixel count is irrelevant beyond 5MP. As people mentioned before, the important feature of the camera is the lens, not the MP count.

    • philboogie - 10 years ago

Huh? You do understand the MP myth, acknowledge ‘spec sheet shyte’ by saying “people measure the merit of a product by its numbers, even when the numbers don’t matter after a certain point” and yet still say you want ‘Full HD’ and therefore chose the 1920*1080 iPhone. Don’t you realise a screen this size won’t make you see any difference between the 4.7″ and 5.5″ screen as they are both Retina? You won’t see any pixelation when viewing scaled down 1080p (or i) on that 4.7″ screen anyway. But if you want 5.5″, sure, get that, but not for this reasoning.

  38. holding out for a phone that is the size of the 5S that is able to fit all extra features of the 6+

  39. jabreal - 10 years ago

    iPhone 6 – Space Gray – 64GB!! Can’t wait!!

  40. Truffol (@Truffol) - 10 years ago

iphone 6 space grey 64gb. Guess I’m the majority in all aspects.

very interesting poll…interesting to see the iPhone 6 plus is just right behind the iPhone 6 in numbers…was thinking more of a 70 / 30 split.
