Verizon is increasing data for customers on $80 and $100 More Everything plans, the company announced today following a similar announcement from AT&T. The carrier is now offering 10GB for $80 and 15GB for $100 up from the 6GB and 10GB those tiers previously offered. Verizon notes that the deal isn’t restricted to new customers, but it is a limited time offer available through its website.
The move from Verizon seems to be in response to a similar announcement from AT&T earlier today that the carrier will increase monthly data allotments for its $40 and $70 data plans starting early next month. AT&T’s increase sees a new 3GB of data for $40 per month plan (up from 2GB) and 6GB of date for $70 a month (up from 4GB). The offers for increased data from both carriers, however, are for a limited time.
Verizon also announced today that it’s now offering $150 port-in credits for new customers that switch to Verizon and purchase an LTE smartphone on-contract or through its Edge upgrade program.
The increased Verizon data tiers kick in Nov. 1.

Competition is good. T-Mobile, your move…
I believe T-Mobile made the first move that caused all the other players to follow suite…
Why are you applauding limited data plans? For $100, the plan should have unlimited data. I moved to Spring from Verizon for this fact alone. Yes, the actual service sucks, but I think consumers should take a stand on pricing. I like traveling across country and letting my daughter watch Netflix the entire way and not worry about going over my data limit.
Does anyone know how to actually take advantage of these increased data amounts? I have the 10gig $100 More everything now. Bumping up to 15 gig changes the price to $110.
It went into affect 11/1 so you should see the new plans in your account portal.
“good”… for USA ! :)))
I live in France and I have 20Gb for just 15.99€/month (≈20$)
I think it would’ve been cool if Free (yeah, that’s the name) bought T-Mobile (they already attempted) :D Already, T-Mobile is cool… but think about 20Gb for 20$ (⌒-⌒ )
I’m with Verizon on the $70 4GB plan & called in this morning and to my surprise, they doubled it to 8gb for the same price. Rep told me that all plans are being doubled except for 1gb & 2GB plans. For current customers just have to call in.
Instead of thanking to these two duo, a big applause goes to T-Mobile and Sprint……………. http://www.telecomvibe.com
The mobile communication price in US market is ridiculous.
In UK, I can have unlimited data plan for just 13 GBPs. Even In China, the price is cheaper than US.
not mentioning the broad band price, another joke.
The electronics are pretty cheap in US, but don’t know why the data/voice price is so much expensive!
