Final Cut Pro updated with additional import/export options, Xcode gets bug fixes

Apple has updated Final Cut Pro with support for native import, editing, and export of MXF video files, along with the capability to edit video encoded with Panasonic’s AVC-LongG codec. Several issues are fixed in this update as well, including problems importing certain clips from specific cameras, App Nap stopping long import operations, and errors in handling of 240fps video.

Xcode was also update with fixes for common SourceKit crashes when using the new Swift language. The full change logs for both apps are included below:

• Option to export AVC-Intra MXF files
• Support for import and editing with Panasonic AVC-LongG media
• Fixes issues with automatic library backups
• Fixes a problem where clips with certain frame rates from Canon and Sanyo cameras would not import properly
• Resolves issues that could interrupt long imports when App Nap is enabled
• Stabilization and Rolling Shutter reduction works correctly with 240fps video

    That’s EXACTLY what I was hoping to see. That has been one of the most annoying issues I’ve been dealing with since the beta. In beta I didn’t mind so much because it was in beta and I learned in the developer forum Apple was aware of it. But when it persisted beyond beta that’s when I felt like “c’mon, I know Swift is new but there’s gotta be plenty of devs being disrupted by this.

      Sadly sourceKit is still crashing like crazy…
      I haven’t been bored that much by xcode in a long time :(

    Anyone knows if e Xcode update also fixes the bug with the Calendar managements? I did not have the chance of testing it.
