Apple Store goes down ahead of Apple Watch pre-orders & 12-inch MacBook launch

Apple’s online store has gone down this evening to prepare for the launch of the Apple Watch and 12-inch MacBook. When the store returns, the Apple Watch will be available for pre-order, while the 12-inch MacBook will be available for purchase. The Apple Watch will launch on April 24th.

The Apple Watch will start at $349 for the Sport model, $549 for the Watch, and $10,000 for the Edition. The 12-inch MacBook will start at $1,299 for the entry-level model with a 1.1GHz processor and 256GB of storage. You’ll also be able to get the slightly faster 1.2GHz model with 512GB of storage for $1,599. A built-to-order model with a 1.3GHz processor will also be available for $1,549 including 256GB of SSD storage and $1,749 for 512GB. The MacBook will ship with 8GB of RAM, as well.

Rumor I’m hearing is that the new MacBook won’t be available in store this weekend. Shipping is best way to go

I hope it’s not a rumour. Went into the Apple store today only to be told that the April 10 date is just for the online order and that they didn’t know when they would get stock.

I’d much rather have it in my hands tomorrow than order online and get it a couple of days into next week.

Smart move. I want them to be ready and not crash like iPhone 6/6+ preorder

Picked up the large space gray sport and some extra charging cables. Unfortunately it says delivery is estimated between May 13-27! And I got that sucker ordered as soon as the store went live. Hopefully I’ll get a nice surprise and it’ll show up on time.
