A new iCloud Drive setting in iOS 9 enables a hidden app that lets you manage your entire file library. You can find the setting at Settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive > Show on Home Screen. After activating it you’ll find a new icon on your home screen for the iCloud Drive application.
At the moment the app doesn’t seem to be loading any content, but obviously that will change before launch. This app will likely function the same way the iCloud Drive folder in the Mac Finder does.

that would be great for stock apps like tips and Stocks… Why they hide iCloud Drive by default is perplexing.. the fact it was not even mentioned? stupid even…
they spent so much time talking about the crappy Music service and so little on actual useful features.. “One More thing” for Music service? really Cook?..
Doubt it. They expect you to mostly manage your files throug whatever app is associated with them. In fact, after playing around with it for a few minutes, I went ahead and hid the iCloud Drive app again. Wasn’t overly useful.
Can you save an emailed attachment out to icloud drive? Can you attach an icloud drive PDF from mail ? In other words – is apples OWN mail app associated/updated/compatible with icloud drive?

that would have been a real “one more thing”.. we are offering all iCloud users 1TB of Photo and video storage for Free… but alas, all we got was a music service asking for more dough..

Can someone confirm if Public or Sharable files are available? I mostly use Drive and Dropbox to send large files to clients. iCloud has not supported this yet and was hoping that it would with todays announcement.
Don’t worry, I know about Mail and iCloud integration for large files, but I want to be able to upload a file and generate a link to download it…

Interesting! The one new app ever added to iOS which can be hidden/removed! (Compare to Game Center, Newsstand, and the others you probably have shoved into a folder called “Undeletable Apps”)
This might be the start of a new trend which will greatly please those with minimalist tendencies. :)
