More video screensavers added to Apple TV 4, including aerial views of London & Great Wall of China

After debuting the Apple TV 4 with San Francisco-themed video screensavers, Apple has added some new videos to the queue, including flyover footage of central London (above) and the Great Wall of China (below). Both are found within the Aerial screensavers section, but you can’t specifically choose them, the device just loops the ones Apple pushes to it …

The London flyover begins just east of Tower Bridge and ends at the London Eye. Apple previously added two island videos which appear to have been shot in Hawaii, one moving towards a beach, the other approaching a waterfall.

Apple revealed the new Apple TV hardware last month, though there were no surprises for 9to5Mac readers. Apple showed off the new remote, complete with touchpad, a revamped UI and new apps for the platform. Check out our hands-on guide for more.

I’m hoping they change that White UI to something darker

I really like this, having the scenery change to fresh places on the screensaver. Especially since I doubt they’ll be allowing 3rd party video sources for this.

If Apple pushes these randomly to the TV4 they better not screw it up, resulting in pushing selfies of nude cells to our …boxes¡

  4. It seems that emojis and screensavers are becoming major features in Apple products.

It appears to me that some or all of the screensavers have been filmed multiple times at different times of the day. When the screensaver is triggered, the version that matches your time of day is shown.

I wish they’d bring these to the Mac.

By the way, here’s the page that shows the video URLs that you could download and use for a screensaver if El Capitan had that ability.
