Apple offering free download of sketching app Procreate via Apple Store app

As it has done several times in the past, Apple is offering a free download of a popular iOS app via the Apple Store app. This time, the company is offering popular sketching app Procreate for iPhone for free.

Apple touts that Procreate is a “must-have” for artists and enthusiasts, allowing them to create works of art right from their iOS device.

Procreate lets you generate high-caliber artwork at a blistering pace using  robust layers system, stunning filters, and thousands of importable brushes. A must have for serious artists and enthusiasts alike.

Unfortunately, the more expensive iPad version of Procreate doesn’t quality for this deal. You can redeem the offer on your iPad, but you’ll be given the iPhone version.

This isn’t the first time Apple has offered a free app inside the Apple Store app. Earlier this year, the company offered popular journaling app Day One 2 for free. Prior to that, Apple offered the puzzle-based game Rules! for free in the Apple Store app.

In order to take advantage of your free download of Procreate, first make sure you have the Apple Store app on your device. Then, navigate to the “Stores” tab in the bottom menu bar, scroll down until you see the “iPhone Upgrade Program,” then swipe over until you see the Procreate banner. The deal expires on July 28th.
