Pokémon Go coming to the Apple Watch later this year

Apple has announced that Pokémon Go is coming to the Apple Watch. Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke revealed that the iPhone app has been downloaded 500 million times, players walking almost three billion miles while playing.

Niantic has demonstrated the companion app on stage, the Watch tapping you on the wrist when you approach a Pokéstop. You can swipe them directly on the Watch to catch things. Eggs can also be hatched on the Watch.
