iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus begin arriving to preorder customers around the world [Gallery]

As the clock begins to turn to Friday, September 16th around the world, people are slowly getting their hands on Apple’s new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. As is usually the case with product releases, customers in Australia and New Zealand are first to receive their preordered Apple products and images have slowly been trickling in…

A variety of customers have taken to Instagram and Twitter to share their excitement of their new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus arriving. Of the images shared, the matte black color option seems to be the leader thus far, though Jet Black is widely expceted to be the most popular iPhone 7 color overall. The Jet Black option, however, is severely limited in availability at this point, so many customers opted for the matte black instead.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will continue to reach the hands of eager customers around the world as time progresses, although preorder availability was incredibly sparse, which means many customers will be left waiting for weeks. Earlier today, however, we noted that some preorder customers have seen their arrival date move closer. Personally, the arrival date for my black iPhone 7 Plus has not changed and won’t be coming until the end of the month.

As far as retail availability goes, Apple itself announced this morning that all Jet Black variants are sold out due to preorder demand, while all iPhone 7 Plus models are also sold out and will not be available in retail stores on launch day. Various capacities and colors of the 4.7-inch model will be available in stores on September 16th, though.

Be sure to let us know in the comments and on Twitter when your iPhone 7 preorder arrives! (And I’ll try to hide my jealousy.)
