tvOS 10.1 beta 2 with single sign-on is now available for Apple TV

Apple has released the second tvOS 10.1 developer beta for the fourth-generation Apple TV. The upcoming software update includes early hooks for Apple’s new single sign-on feature which lets you authenticate with your cable provider to unlock all compatible paid video apps.

tvOS 10.1 is also expected to include Apple’s new TV app when it launches in December. The update follows the feature-packed tvOS 10 update in September, and the minor bug fix release of tvOS 10.0.1 last month.

We’ll update with any notable changes found in tvOS 10.1 beta 2.

  • No TV app on Apple TV yet, iOS 10.2 beta 2 includes on iPhone, iPad
