Twelve South releases new BookBook and Journal cases for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus just in time for Christmas

Twelve South has announced that their popular BookBook iPhone cases are now available today for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. They are sold for $59.99 shipped, with delivery as soon as December 19 from Amazon with black and brown color options.

Twelve South mentions three new features for the most recent BookBook: upgraded card slot and wallet design to prevent stretching and pilling, dark interior finish to better resist dirt and dust, and an all-new book spine design to add variety to your library.

The thin shell case that your iPhone snaps into is removable from BookBook’s leather wallet giving you flexibility for different occasions and uses. Another useful feature is the leather wallet portion acting as a stand for watching video, making FaceTime calls, or other hands-free use. Like previous BookBook cases, the new model still includes 4-5 card slots (depending on 7 or 7 Plus), ID window and a cash pocket.

If BookBook isn’t quite to your taste, Twelve South has also announced a simpler and more refined book-style wallet case called Journal, which they are billing as “luxury protection for the world’s best phone.”

Journal has a streamlined design that comes in black and brown and is only offered for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at $69.99. It seems Journal is only available directly from Twelve South and can deliver before Christmas for an extra charge, but will arrive after if ordered with free shipping.

Journal features the four card slots, ID window, cash pocket, and built-in stand that BookBook offers, but does not include the removable case shell from leather wallet feature.

If the style or price point of these two new options aren’t a good fit for you, my colleague Chance has covered another popular wallet case by Mujjo in his gift guide. I also offer up three different great wallet case choices in my own gift guide.
