Paired with iOS 11.3 beta 1 yesterday is the first watchOS 4.3 beta for Apple Watch. The first developer beta of the upcoming watchOS update comes two days after the release of watchOS 4.2.2 for all customers.

The update is available on the developer center and should be rolling out over-the-air soon. While public beta versions of iOS, tvOS, and macOS will be available, watchOS does not have a public beta program.

watchOS 4.3 features build version 15T5165e. The update comes in at 341MB.

From Apple:

The watchOS 4.3 SDK provides support for developing watchOS apps for watchOS 4.3. The SDK comes bundled with Xcode 9.3 available from the Apple Developer Program download page.

We’ll dig in to the new Apple Watch update and unpack any changes included.

  • ‘Apple Watch’ now ‘Speaker’ in Control Center AirPlay
  • iPhone Music control restored in Music app on Apple Watch, can AirPlay from iPhone to AirPlay speakers from Apple Watch control
  • New charging animation
  • Portrait orientation for Nightstand Mode (clearly for AirPower)

Refresh for updates.
