Apple Pay promo lets you save $5 at the movies with Fandango

Apple is out with another weekly Apple Pay promotion. This time the company is drumming up awareness for its mobile payment solution with $5 off movie tickets with Fandango when you buy at least two.

The window of this promotion is a bit shorter than others we’ve seen recently as it only goes through March 4. However, as a percentage (depending on your local prices), this could be one of the better deals to come through the program.

When picking up tickets on Fandango’s website or iOS app, make sure to apply the promo code STARPOWER to get your $5 off. Here are the fine details.

*Order two or more movie tickets in a single transaction on fandango.com or via the Fandango app, enter promo code “STARPOWER” at checkout, and then complete your movie ticket purchase using the Apple Pay payment method to receive $5 off your order. Promo code expires March 4, 2018, while supplies last. Ticket purchase must be made with an Apple Pay account. Limit one promo code per person. Limited quantity of promo codes are available. Offer cannot be combined with any other offer or discount.

Apple also promoted some other apps that utilize Apple Pay in its latest email along with this Fandango offer. Under a tagline of “Look the Part” it mentions Best Buy, Barneys New York, and Ulta. As for “Getting Ready for a Glamorous Night” it promotes the iOS apps Regal Cinemas, The RealReal, and Turo.

Apple has been really consistent with these weekly promotions. Recently we’ve seen offers and discounts for Instacart, 1-800-Flowers, Under Armour, parking with SpotHero, and more.

Apple Pay is estimated to now have 127 million users and is supported by over 2,700 banks.
