Users currently unable to access Apple’s Support Communities website [U]

UPDATE: The site seems to be back online and fully functional again.

Anyone trying to visit Apple’s Support Communities this evening will are being hit with an error message noting that Apple is updating its forums and “will be back shortly.” Some users are able to access the site intermittently.

It’s unclear at the moment why Apple has taken its support communities offline. Oftentimes, signage like this signals a major overhaul, versus simple maintenance for the site, but it’s unclear if that’s the case.

The error reads:

We’ll be back.

We are busy updating Apple Support Communities for you and will be back shortly.

Unlike many other Apple services, Apple Support Communities is not listed on the company’s system status page, which currently is not reporting any issues.
