Apple offering up to $525 instant credit for iPhone X trade-in, up to $250 for Apple Watch and iPad

Apple has today updated its GiveBack program with details on what it will offer customers to trade-in last year’s devices like the iPhone X and Apple Watch Series 3. The program was also recently refreshed to allow customers to apply the trade-in credit at the time of purchase of a new device.

Apple will be giving iPhone X owners up to $525 for trade-ins, depending on the condition of the device. iPhone 8 Plus will fetch up to $400, with iPhone 8 netting up to $350.

Apple also notes that it will offer a maximum of $250 for Apple Watch and iPad trade-ins, with a ceiling of $1,000 for Macs. You can check the value of your device by plugging in your serial number here.

In an update just about a month ago, Apple streamlined its trade-in program by giving customers an instant credit when towards a new online purchase. Previously, the program required customers to buy a new product first and receive an Apple Store gift card or debit card with the value after. The other alternative was visiting an Apple Store to make a trade-in and new purchase at the same time.
