Tile, the company behind the most popular smart trackers is out with its latest products today. Both the new Tile Mate and Tile Pro are launching with one of the most requested features: replaceable batteries. Read on for all the details of the latest Tile trackers.
Up until now, the company has offered its reTile program as a way for users to replace their dead Tile units at a discount. However, removable batteries in its newest generation of smart trackers is sure to be preferred by existing and new customers alike.
However, reTile still exists and all those with old Tile’s can still go through the program to upgrade to the new Tile Mate and Tile Pro with user replaceable battery units for a discount.
Other upgrades for these smart trackers see the new Tile Mate offer a 50% increase in its Bluetooth range to 150 feet, while the Tile Pro sees the same percentage boost going from 200 feet to an impressive 300 feet.
With the new versions of Mate and Pro, customers can keep their favorite Tiles indefinitely, and expect batteries to come with a guaranteed one-year lifespan. To meet Tile standards for usability, reliability and durability, the team spent a year perfecting the entire user experience, including extensive testing a wide variety of battery doors. Tile also raised the bar for the industry by increasing ring volume and Bluetooth range for both products. Tile Mate boasts a Bluetooth range of 150 feet and Tile Pro offers an unprecedented Bluetooth range of 300 feet.
The new Tile Mate goes for $25 ($60 for a four-pack), with the new Tile Pro retailing for $35 ($60 for a two-pack). Both products are available direct from Tile as well as from Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and more.
Another update along with the new trackers brings three more perks to the Tile Premium subscription. In addition to smart alerts, location history, and unlimited sharing, Premium subscribers will now get:
- Free Battery Replacements. Premium subscribers are eligible to receive free, automatic battery replacements annually for an unlimited number of Tiles in their account. Batteries are shipped prior to one-year post activation, eliminating the need to search for and purchase replacement batteries.
- Extended Warranty. Premium subscribers will receive extended warranty for a full three years on all new Mate and Pro devices. All Tiles go through rigorous physical stress tests and are built to last well beyond just 1 year. As a Premium subscriber, if your Tile fails within the first three years, Tile will replace it.
- Premium Customer Care. In addition to email and online chat, Premium subscribers can access an exclusive text line with Tile’s support team. Customers can text directly through the Tile app for expedited support.
Tile Premium costs $3/month or $30/year after a one-month free trial.
