Apple Watch users can now update to watchOS 11.1

Following the release of iOS 18.1 with Apple Intelligence for the public, Apple is also rolling out watchOS 11.1 for Apple Watch users. Keep reading as we detail more about the update.

watchOS 11.1 now available

watchOS 11.1 doesn’t bring any significant new features. Instead, the update focuses on bug fixes and overall stability. The watchOS 11.1 final build number is 22R585.

Although the Apple Watch does not officially support Apple Intelligence, after updating your iPhone to iOS 18.1 there is one great AI benefit your Watch will get: notification summaries.

You can update your Apple Watch by going to Settings > General > Software Update. It’s worth noting that the Apple Watch needs to have at least 50% battery power and be plugged into a charger in order to install watchOS updates.
