Apple Card has expanded its Daily Cash scheme to include two new partners. Apple Card customers can now get 3% Daily Cash back when they book prepaid car rentals or holidays stays with Booking.com, or charge their vehicle at qualifying ChargePoint stations.
Purchases of home electric ChargePoint chargers will also qualify for the boosted 3% cashback rate. Additionally, Booking.com will give 2% in travel credits for eligible hotel stays and rental cars (more details here).
Typically, Apple Card offers 2% cashback through the Daily Cash scheme for online or contactless transactions using Apple Pay, or 1% for transactions using the physical, titanium, card. The boosted 3% Apple Pay cashback is available with select retailers, including Apple hardware and services purchases.
Booking and ChargePoint join other partners like Uber, T-Mobile and Walgreens that already participate in the 3% Daily Cash scheme.
The Apple Card is currently run by Apple in partnership with Goldman Sachs serving as the issuing bank. However, Apple and Goldman Sachs are expected to part ways in the near future as Goldman exits consumer finance altogether. Apple is reportedly currently in negotiations with other banks to take over Apple Card.
