macOS Sequoia 15.2 has been in beta since October, even before 15.1 was publicly released. That’s because it’s a sizeable update that includes a variety of powerful new Apple Intelligence features.

Mac users with an M1 model or later can enjoy:

Notably, macOS 15.2 does not include Genmoji support. The feature is available for iPhone and iPad users in the companion iOS and iPadOS 18.2 updates, but isn’t yet ready for the Mac.

Beta arrives ahead of expected public launch next week

Today’s new beta focuses entirely on bug fixes and performance improvements. That’s because the public launch of macOS Sequoia 15.2 is expected next week.

As Apple’s beta cycles wind down, the software becomes more stable, and fewer new features are added.

If there are no major bugs discovered in today’s RC update, Apple will ship this same exact software build to all users. However, it’s possible a second RC will be needed with some last-minute fixes.

The RC update can be downloaded from System Settings in the Software Update screen.
