Satechi brings more ports and storage to M4 Mac Mini with new stand & hub unveiled at CES

Satechi has been my go-to for Apple accessories for years. Their hubs, docks, chargers and stands are always sleek, functional, and perfectly matched to Apple’s aesthetic. Now, they’re back with something exciting for Mac Mini M4 users—a new hub and stand with built-in SSD storage, revealed at CES 2025.

Here’s what you need to know!

M4 Mac Mini hub & stand specs

The Mac Mini M4 Stand & Hub with SSD Enclosure is custom-built to enhance Apple’s latest Mac Mini, offering front-facing ports, blazing-fast data transfer speeds, and extra storage capacity.

Here’s what you get:

  • USB-A 3.2 Ports: Transfer speeds up to 10Gbps—move thousands of files in seconds.
  • SD Card Reader: Speeds up to 312MB/s, perfect for quick photo and video transfers.
  • Built-in SSD Enclosure: Add up to 4TB of NVMe storage for backups, media libraries, or large projects.

Creatives will welcome the SD card slot as well as the USB A ports for peripherals that still use the USB A input. Adding this hub, turns the M4 Mac Mini into a mini Mac Studio!

Design

As always, Satechi nails the design. The aluminum build matches the Mac Mini’s minimalist style, and smart features ensure a seamless experience:

  • Rear Power Button Access: No more awkward reaches—the hub has a dedicated opening for the Mac Mini’s power button.
  • Heat Dissipation Vents: Helps keep your Mac Mini cool, even during heavy workloads.
  • Cable Management: Keeps things neat and tidy with a built-in plug-and-play cable.

The recessed top holds the Mac Mini securely in place, making this hub feel like a natural extension of the Mac Mini M4.

Pricing & availability

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Price: $99.99
  • Limited Launch: February 17, 2025, at Satechi.net
  • Full Availability: March 2025

Final take

I think Satechi’s Mac Mini M4 Hub is the perfect companion for Apple’s latest mini powerhouse. I have been a huge fan of the M4 Mac mini but i do miss the SD card slot and the ability to connect wireless peripherals via USB A receivers. The hub enhances both functionality and aesthetics. I’ll be adding this to my desk—and if you’re a Mac Mini user, you should too. Be on the lookout for a full review once we get our hands on it!
