Update: Apple says the issues affecting Find My and Apple Maps have been resolved. Original story below.

Amid sporadic reports on social media, Apple has confirmed ongoing problems affecting Find My and Apple Maps. Apple says “some users are affected” by these issues.

There’s no timeline for a fix for the problems impacting Apple Maps and Find My this afternoon. According to Apple’s System Status website, the problems began around 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET. Apple hasn’t shared any other information on the details of what exactly is broken.

“Users are experiencing a problem with Maps. We are investigating and will update the status as more information becomes available,” Apple says.

There aren’t many reports on social media from users complaining about problems with Find My and Apple Maps. This suggests the scope of the problems is pretty small, given the size of Apple’s user base.
