Leaker details iPhone 18 lineup screen sizes, Dynamic Island plans

We’re eight months away from the iPhone 18 lineup being unveiled, and today a reputable leaker has detailed screen sizes and Dynamic Island plans for Apple’s forthcoming models.

iPhone 18, iPhone Air 2, iPhone 18 Pro screen sizes leaked

Leaker Digital Chat Station regularly posts supply chain information about forthcoming Apple products. And his latest post details the screen sizes for the iPhone 18 line—excluding the foldable—and Dynamic Island plans.

Here’s the translated text:

  • iPhone 18 – 6.27″ LTPO 120Hz screen with Dynamic Island
  • iPhone Air 2 – 6.55″ LTPO 120Hz screen with Dynamic Island
  • iPhone 18 Pro – 6.27″ LTPO 120Hz screen with new under-display area
  • iPhone 18 Pro Max – 6.86″ LTPO 120Hz screen with new under-display area

These display sizes match what’s available with the iPhone 17 line. So it seems that Apple isn’t planning to make any screen sizes changes with this year’s iPhone 18 models.

LTPO 120Hz also matches what we currently have in the full iPhone 17 line.

Where things get more interesting is with the Dynamic Island.

Digital Chat Station says that the iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 will both have the standard Dynamic Island. Presumably this means it will be completely unchanged from the current models.

But with iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, he references a new type of under-display cutout area.

Rumors have conflicted on what this will look like. Some reporting says the new Dynamic Island will simply be reduced in size, but look similar to the current pill shape. Others have said we’ll get a simple hole-punch that’s offset to the top-left corner of the display.

Today’s post not using the words ‘Dynamic Island’ may hint at the latter being more likely.

Additionally, it is noteworthy that this new cutout design is expected to only arrive with the 18 Pro models. The base iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 will miss out.

Do you expect a smaller Dynamic Island or hole-punch with the iPhone 18 Pro? Let us know in the comments.
