Netflix just unveiled its first big podcasts that are all-new, here’s what’s coming

Netflix is officially getting into podcasting, with video podcasts from a Spotify deal recently launching, and now the company has unveiled its first original podcasts that are coming soon.

Netflix original podcasts launch with Pete Davidson and Michael Irvin

Podcasting is having a moment. YouTube and Spotify have helped drive significant growth for the medium, and even Apple Podcasts was more popular than ever in 2025—despite losing market share.

Podcasts are now a significant part of politicians’ campaign strategies, and promotional efforts by film and TV studios too. The most telling recent sign of podcasting going mainstream is that last weekend, the Golden Globes features its first ever award for ‘Best Podcast.’

Netflix, the current global leader in TV streaming, has decided it wants to join the podcasting trend too.

The streamer recently struck deals with Spotify, iHeartRadio, and more for their video podcasts to be available exclusively on Netflix.

But all-new Netflix Original podcasts are about to launch too.

Netflix has just announced its first two big in-house podcasts:

  • The Pete Davidson Show, which premieres Friday, January 30
  • The White House with Michael Irvin, which hits Monday, January 19

Here are Netflix’s descriptions of each new show:

The Pete Davidson Show: When Saturday Night Live alum Pete Davidson heads into his garage, turns on some cameras, and starts talking to his friends, you might think he’s fixing his car or trying to find a hammer. Not in Davidson’s case: He’s filming a podcast for Netflix, which will feature candid, no-holds-barred conversations.

The White House with Michael Irvin: The show will tackle current sports news, game analysis, and commentary with two episodes a week, featuring a rotating roster of co-hosts, including former NFL All-Pro wide receiver and NFL Christmas Gameday 2025 analyst Brandon Marshall, who is producing The White House with Michael Irvin as well.

Pete Davidson’s show will have a new episode every Friday, while Michael Irvin’s offers two episodes per week.

Like Netflix’s existing licensed podcasts, anyone with a Netflix subscription can watch the new podcasts.
