Public beta 3 for macOS Tahoe 26.3, iPadOS 26.3, and more now available

Apple has released its latest wave of beta updates, with public beta 3 debuting for macOS Tahoe 26.3, iPadOS 26.3, and more. Here’s what to expect.

The next round of Apple software updates appears nearly ready for launch.

Today Apple debuted public beta 3 for macOS Tahoe 26.3, iPadOS 26.3, tvOS 26.3, and more. These latest betas follow yesterday’s arrival of beta 3 for developers, and are identical software builds.

The 26.3 software cycle continues to offer very few noticeable changes. Apple seems to be prioritizing bug fixes and stability, along with a handful of changes for iOS.

One new feature in public beta 3 is for iPadOS 26.3—but it’s exclusive to M5 iPad Pro users with a C1X modem.

iPadOS 26.3 adds a new ‘limit precise location’ setting that offers greater privacy protections.

Essentially, it limits the location data that’s shared with your carrier. You can read the full details here, including carrier compatibility.

Outside of that addition, little new has been discovered in this latest round of betas. It’s likely that we’ll see the RC (release candidate) builds arrive in the next week or two ahead of the public 26.3 launches.
