Indie App Spotlight: ‘Within Reach’ helps you track your weight loss journey

Welcome to Indie App Spotlight. This is a weekly 9to5Mac series where we showcase the latest apps in the indie app world. If you’re a developer and would like your app featured, get in contact.

Obesity remains a rampant concern in America, with 2 in 5 adults struggling with obesity. GLP-1 medications have become popular in recent years to help people manage their weight – and Within Reach is a companion app to help you track everything related to the journey.

What it does

Within Reach has a couple headlining features to help you track your weight loss journey with GLP-1s, though its also useful for those who aren’t using weight loss medications.

For GLP-1 users, it features fully-fledged medication and symptom tracking. You can track your dosing schedule to ensure you’re taking your medications on time, and you’ll also get reminders. Additionally, if a need to reschedule arises, you can track that too – and Within Reach will take it into account. As for symptoms, you can track how you’re feeling over time while on the medication, which could be useful information to present to a doctor later on.

Outside of that, Within Reach also integrates with Apple Health, pulling in and syncing your weight, height, BMI, steps, and workout details. This means if you have a smart scale (or manually input your data in the app), the two will work together.

As hinted at prior, Within Reach lets you plan your workouts in the app for keeping you on pace. It also offers Siri Shortcuts and Widgets – so everything feels at home on the iPhone.

Download the app

Within Reach is available for free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad users running iOS 26 and later. If you’re an early user, it’ll be free forever.
