Apple has released iPadOS 26.4 beta 1 for developers, here’s what we’re expecting from the new beta software.
Apple releases iPadOS 26.4 beta 1 for developers
Last week, Apple launched iPadOS 26.3 to all users. Now today, the company has wasted little time kicking off its next beta cycle.
iPadOS 26.4 beta 1 is here, launching for developers today with a public beta expected to follow soon.
Apple’s last wave of software updates was light on new features, but that’s likely to change with the 26.4 lineup.
For a while, iOS and iPadOS 26.4 were expected to introduce the new and improved Siri.
Recently though, Mark Gurman at Bloomberg reported that at least some of the Siri upgrades were being pushed back into iOS 26.5 and even iOS 27.
However, Gurman has not ruled out the possibility of some Siri features launching in 26.4. So we’ll be interested to see if anything new is available today in this first beta.
Other possible new features include Apple adding nine new emoji that were approved last year, and we’re still waiting for RCS-related messaging improvements too.
As with most betas, whatever new features are available in iPadOS 26.4 beta 1 will likely be added to with more changes in future betas.
We’ll keep you posted on any new features and changes we discover.
