iOS 26 added my favorite new iPhone ringtone, listen here

My iPhone stays on silent most of the time, but a new iOS 26 ringtone has made me very tempted to rethink that choice because it’s such a pleasant tune. Here’s my new favorite iPhone ringtone.

‘Dreamer’ in iOS 26 is a beautiful reimagining of the default iPhone ringtone

I remember the pre-smartphone days when ringtones were a big deal. Since cell phones couldn’t do much beyond make calls, send texts, and maybe host a few games, the list of ringtones was a noteworthy feature.

These days, ringtones get outshined by the millions of other things an iPhone can do. But that hasn’t stopped Apple from occasionally offering new ringtone options.

In iOS 26, the iPhone gained seven brand new ringtones. All but one are fun variations on the default ‘Reflection’ ringtone, plus there’s a totally unique ‘Little Bird’ addition.

I love that Apple chose to reimagine the default iPhone ringtone rather than just offering entirely different sounds.

The ‘Reflection’ ringtone is iconic at this point, and each of the six new options are beautifully done—not just cheap remixes.

As much as I enjoy all of the new additions, my standout favorite is Dreamer. You can listen to it below.

It still carries echoes of the default tone, but with a fun lo-fi twist.

All of the other Reflection alternatives are great too. A couple additional favorites are Surge and Reflected.

To check out all the ringtones and change yours, go to Settings ⇾ Sounds & Haptics ⇾ Ringtone.

Have you tried any of iOS 26’s new ringtones yet? Which is your favorite? Let us know in the comments.
