Apple Fellow Phil Schiller set for first big retrospective interview in years at SXSW

Apple Fellow Phil Schiller will be the subject of an upcoming interview at SXSW in Austin, Texas, next week. Schiller will be interviewed by David Pogue, author of the new book Apple: The First 50 Years, on March 18, at 2:30 p.m. central:

As Apple enters its second half-century, author David Pogue (“Apple: The First 50 Years”) explores the throughlines of Apple’s astonishing success: simplicity, beauty, elegant design, making the whole widget, focus on very few products, and a deep commitment to the customer experience. He’ll be joined by Phil Schiller to share stories and insights from their decades of launching iconic products.

Schiller was previously the person for going on the record in his capacity as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. However, Schiller hasn’t done many interviews since moving on to his current Apple Fellow role.

SXSW attendees can track the session here. We’ll be sure to share the interview as it becomes available.

Last year, Apple’s Services boss Eddy Cue was the subject of a SXSW interview conducted by Ben Stiller (and vice versa).
