Apple prepping iOS 26.4.1 update for iPhone

Apple released iOS 26.4 for iPhone last month with new emoji, updates to Apple Music, and more. Now, the company is prepping a bug fix update, and it looks like iOS 26.4.1 is coming soon.

iOS 26.4.1 is imminent

According to visitor logs for 9to5Mac, Apple employees are currently testing iOS 26.4.1 internally. The first signs of the update appeared last week, and the number of visitors has gradually increased since then. MacRumors has also spotted evidence of iOS 26.4.1 in their analytics.

This is generally a reliable indicator of future iPhone software updates, though it’s always possible Apple scraps its plans and ultimately doesn’t release the iOS 26.4.1 update publicly.

There’s no word on what to expect from iOS 26.4.1, but the update will presumably focus on bug fixes and performance improvements. iOS 26.4 was a relatively sizable update for iPhone, packing new features for Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Reminders, and more.

Apple is also currently beta testing iOS 26.5 for iPhone, which is a far smaller update with just a few changes to Apple Maps, the App Store, Messages, and more.

As I reported earlier today, Apple is set to roll out an update for Studio Display XDR users this week with a new Medical Imaging Calibrator feature for macOS. Apple might release iOS 26.4.1 and macOS 26.4.1 concurrently when it brings this new feature to Mac users.

What version of iOS are you currently running? Are you on the iOS 26.5 beta train? Let us know down in the comments.
